  • Are these items in stock?
    To understand whether the product is in stock, you need to go to the product page you are interested in and select "SQM (m²) In-Stock" from the dropdown menu on the page and try adding the amount you are looking to order to your cart. If item is successfully added to your basket, it is available for 4-7 working day delivery. If it isn't and you have a popup showing you how much stock left then you can always select "SQM (m²) Pre-Order" and order that item on a 6-12 week lead time.
  • Can I order bespoke products?
    We provide a wide range of services including design service and bespoke production. We are able to offer bespoke tile sizes for orders above 15m2. Production lead time for custom orders is 6-12 weeks. Please email enquiries@starelstones.co.uk for more information. ​​
  • Can I buy less than a square meter (m²)?
    Unfortunately no. Most of our products come in 1m² packs and we do not sell split packs. But it is useful to have some extra on your order in case of wasted tiles during cutting or breakage.
  • How much extra for wastage do I need to order?
    10-15% wastage usually covers it all. However if you order a bespoke, clearance or pre-order item, it is usually 15-25%.
  • What location is best to visit if I want to see your products in person?

  • Can I request additional photos of the products?
    Our website photos provide a good representation of our products. For a closer look, we recommend ordering samples (for tiles and smaller items) or visiting our showrooms in Guildford or Southampton. If you're unable to visit our Slab Gallery, you're welcome to request additional slab photos. Please email enquiries@starelstones.co.uk with the product name(s) you're interested in and your phone number — we'll send the images via WhatsApp. Please note: Marble is a natural material, and variations in colour, veining, and tone are to be expected and are part of its unique beauty.
  • How much does delivery cost?
    For UK Mainland only: Standard Delivery: £75 per pallet (delivery within 4–7 working days) Express Delivery: £155 per pallet (delivery within 1–3 working days) You will receive an email confirming dispatch and your scheduled delivery date. Please note: Deliveries are handled by third-party curbside delivery companies. They will deliver to the nearest accessible point using an electric pallet truck. These trucks can only operate on solid, level surfaces such as tarmac, concrete, or paving. For deliveries to Northern Ireland, please note extra delivery charges may apply.   • Can I cancel my order?
    You can cancel your order if the goods are at a regular price (non sale items), are not specifically made for you (Pre-orders, custom orders, customized vanity orders) and your order has not been shipped out of our warehouse and/or goods are stock items. To cancel you must let us know in writing that you wish to cancel. All cancellations are subject to a 5% transaction fee and may be subject to a restocking and handling fee. Please read our Terms and Conditions for further information.
  • Can I return my order?
    Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns once delivery has taken place. This is due to frequent batch variations (especially with tiles and mosaics) and the handling risk involved with slabs. If there’s an issue with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. We’ll review the case and may offer a correction, replacement, or partial/full refund at our discretion. Please note: If you do not notify us within 48 hours, or if the goods have been installed, this will be considered acceptance of the order, and we won’t be able to offer any further remedy.
  • I received my delivery date email but I won't be in, what can I do?
    Please contact us as soon as possible. Re-delivery charges may apply.
  • What does pre-order mean?
    Pre-orders are made to order products or products that are shipped from our abroad factory specifically for the order, pre-orders are non-refundable. Typically pre-orders are delivered within 6-12 weeks of order. It should be noted that 1-3 week delays are possible due to the unpredictable circumstances outside of our control, such as, unforeseen shipping delays.
  • Where is my order?
    If all items are in stock: Your order will be delivered within 4 to 7 working days You’ll receive an email confirmation once your order is placed and another when it’s been dispatched. If you selected Express Delivery: Your order will arrive within 1 to 3 working days. Delivery times: Standard delivery slots are 9am to 5pm. Occasionally, due to traffic or delays, deliveries may arrive as late as 6pm. If your order includes any pre-order items: The estimated lead time is 6 to 12 weeks. Your order will be shipped once all items have arrived at our warehouse. You do not need to contact us—we’ll get in touch as soon as your order is ready to be delivered (delivery will then take 4 to 7 working days). Want to split your delivery? If you’d like to receive in-stock items first and pre-order items later, we’re happy to arrange this, just email us. Please note that additional delivery charges may apply. Please note our working days are Monday-Friday. Any orders after 12pm will be processed the next working day.
  • Are the marble tiles/mosaics suitable for underfloor heating?
    Yes! All our marble tiles and mosaics are suitable with underfloor heating.
  • Are the marble tiles/mosaics suitable for bathroom/ shower?
    All marble products are suitable for bathroom and shower use. Please seal the product upon installation.
  • Do I need to dry lay marble tiles before installation?
    Yes, we highly recommend dry laying your marble tiles before fixing them in place. Marble is a natural stone, and each tile is unique in its veining, tone, and pattern. Unlike man-made tiles, marble pieces are not identical, which is part of their beauty. Dry laying means arranging all the tiles on the floor before applying adhesive, so you can: Visualise the overall layout Balance colour and pattern variations Ensure the best placement of each tile Skipping this step can lead to an uneven appearance, as tiles placed at random may clash in tone or pattern. Taking the time to dry lay ensures a more harmonious and professional finish.
  • ​Do marble tiles need sealing?
    Yes. All natural stone products, including marble, limestone, and onyx, require sealing to maintain their appearance and durability. We recommend sealing the tiles after installation, once the adhesive is fully dry. This protects the marble from grout staining. After grouting, allow the grout to cure, then clean the tiles thoroughly and apply a final coat of stone sealer to protect both the tile and grout. To keep your surfaces in top condition, reseal every 1–3 years depending on usage and wear. Shop our recommended stone sealant
  • What grout should I use?
    We recommend using the grout we supply. These Mapei products are specifically formulated for marble and high-end materials, ensuring the best finish and long-term performance.
  • What adhesive should I use?
    We recommend using the adhesive listed below, which we supply. It is specifically suitable for marble, compatible with underfloor heating, and features a rapid setting time, essential, as the adhesive must be fully dry before sealing or grouting.
  • What blade should I use to cut marble?
    We recommend using a wet saw with a premium diamond blade.
  • When should I book my tiler?​
    We strongly advise that you do not book a tiler, plumber or tradespeople before your order arrives and we recommend you receive and check items from us before making any arrangements.
  • Do you provide Slab samples?
    We do not offer slab samples due to the large size and natural colour variation of the stone. However, you’re very welcome to visit our Slab Gallery in Southampton to view the full range in person. If you have placed an order for a slab sample through our website, it will be refunded automatically. Please allow up to 30 days for the refund to appear in your account.
  • Do you provide cutting or fitting services?
    Yes, we provide in-house fabrication service. Our Factory is located in Southampton near our Slab Showroom, equipped with the latest technology CNCs, profile and waterjet machines. Please email us your project requirements so that our team can assess your project and give you guidance on the next best step forward.   • Can I order offcuts or smaller pieces of a slab?
    Our yard is full of off-cuts from all kinds of slabs. However, we do not sell these online and instead invite you to the Slab Gallery to see these for yourself and make other arrangements.
  • Do I need to order a full bundle?
    No, you don’t need to order a full bundle! All our slabs are sold individually, so you can purchase only the number of slabs you need for your project. However, we do not sell less than one full slab. Slabs are sold as whole units only—cutting or splitting slabs before sale is not possible. We recommend speaking with your fabricator to confirm how many slabs you will need, especially if: Your project requires vein matching or book matching You want to ensure consistent colour and pattern flow Please note: Slabs are sold in sequential order, which helps maintain visual consistency across pieces.
  • How much does delivery cost?
    Delivery costs depend on the number of slabs and the distance to your fabricator or site. Please email us for a personalised delivery quote. You're also welcome to collect directly from our Slab Gallery. Please note: you'll need a suitable truck with an A-frame and equipment to unload, as each slab weighs approximately 250-300kg.
  • How long does delivery take?
    Standard delivery takes 4–7 working days. We’re happy to coordinate with your fabricator’s schedule to ensure the slabs arrive at the right time for your project.
  • I'm not ready to receive my order, should I still place it?
    Yes, our stock moves quickly, so we recommend placing your order to secure the slabs you need. We can hold your order until you're ready for delivery. Please note: a holding fee may apply, depending on the duration and storage requirements.
  • Can I book an appointment to see the slabs in person?

  • Can I return my slab order?
    Before Dispatch: If your slab has not yet left our facilities, you may cancel your order. Please note that a 5% transaction fee will apply. After Dispatch: Once the slab(s) have been dispatched, the order cannot be returned unless the slab is rejected at the time of delivery. To reject a slab, it must remain on the delivery vehicle and be clearly marked as damaged or missing on the proof of delivery document. Unfortunately, we cannot accept or process claims for damage or missing items that are reported after delivery has taken place. If a slab is rejected on delivery, we will process a refund minus the transaction fee, and you will be responsible for the handling and delivery charges. Please ensure someone is present at delivery to inspect the slab. No returns or refunds are accepted after successful delivery and acceptance of goods.
  • What sizes are available?
    We currently offer four fixed sizes: 80 cm 100 cm 125 cm 156 cm At the moment, we do not offer bespoke sizing unless you're placing a bulk order of 30 units or more.
  • Can I choose a bespoke marble top?
    Yes, if you'd like a custom top from our slab inventory, please email us at enquiries@starelstones.co.uk with your requirements. Custom fabrication will be quoted separately and may affect lead time.
  • Do you offer samples of the wood or marble?
    We do not provide samples of the oak wood or marble used in our products. However, you are very welcome to visit us in person: Our Guildford showroom displays our full range of vanity units, so you can see the materials and finishes up close. You can also visit our Southampton gallery to view the marble slabs we use. The marble for our vanity tops is fabricated directly from these same slabs. This gives you the most accurate sense of the material’s natural beauty, colour, and variation.
  • Is the vanity unit available in other finishes?
    No, the vanity unit is available only in the oak finish.
  • What does “lacquered finish” mean?
    A lacquered finish is a protective coating that gives the oak a smooth, polished, and slightly glossy appearance, helping to preserve its natural look and protect the wood over time.
  • Are sinks included in the price?
    Yes, sinks are included in the listed price of each vanity unit.
  • Do you offer installation services?
    No, we do not offer installation. You will need to arrange fitting through your own contractor or tiler.
  • Can you drill tap holes in the vanity top?
    Tap holes are not pre-drilled. Your tiler or installer can drill them during installation. If you'd prefer us to handle this, we can fabricate the holes for an additional £250 + VAT for up to 3 holes. This will add approximately 2 weeks to the lead time.
  • How much does delivery cost?
    Price of delivery is £138 per unit.
